Card using patterned vellum

Hi friends,

Congratulations to Judy W who was the winner of my prize for last month.

This month's challenge at Unstampabelles is to use vellum/acetate.

Twist - create a new view
TIP: something new to look at..........

I  have created a card using white patterned vellum. By backing it with a dark cardstock it looks completely different and makes the white pattern stand out more.

I've chosen to use only three colours to make the card look more cohesive. The techniques I've used are layering, inking and punching.

This was a very simple card to make. Using the wood veneer heart and the buttons gave it more dimension.

I hope you join in this month. I look forward to seeing what you create.

Feel free to follow me.

Thanks.

Kaisercraft Small Easel

Good morning fellow crafters.

This morning I have finished my project for April 2018's challenge from Kaisercraft. They have asked that we take inspiration from the mood board below. Quite gorgeous, yes?

I have chosen to create the Kaisercraft Small Easel. It starts out as an undecorated wooden project of 3 pieces.

I've used the Kaleidoscope paper and 3 Kaisercraft paints, which I mixed together. Soft Moss, Metallic Gold and Eggplant.

I will used this as a stand in my craft room and it will be handy to use to photograph my projects.

The gold paint has been used around the edges.

Who loves lace?

Happy Easter and April Fool's Day.

Today is the 1st of April and as such there is a new challenge at Archi-scraps.

Here is the inspo photo and you have to use lace.
I would love to visit this Library.

No automatic alt text available.

I have made two cards for this challenge. They are the same design but I have used different colours to highlight that you can use the same design but achieve a very different result.

What do you think?

I used the colours from the pic and used layering as there are many layers to the library. I love books so much. I read two a month, one chosen by my book club, which I've been in for 15 years and one just for myself.

Do you love to read?

What are you reading now? Do tell me, I'd be interested to know. I've started the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. I've seen all 3 seasons of the show. Love it!

Happy crafting.
