Two cards using a resist technique

UNSTAMPABELLES' November challenge

Resistance TWIST use  resistance technique and explain it in your blog

I have chosen to use a white wax crayon and a chipboard heart for my technique.  I simply cut two white pieces of paper and placed the heart randomly over each piece and traced around the heart with the white crayon.

Then I took some simply watercolour paints and using two colours on each paper, I painted over the entire area of each white papers.

The result is simple but effective.

I chose co-ordinating cardstock for my base cards. I have used washi tape and ribbon/fibre to embellish, plus the original heart chipboard piece has been used on my purple card. The sentiments are a rub-on. Not a huge fan of rub-ons. When I went to apply the Happy Anniversary, happy would not come off in one piece. Oh well, never mind.

Hope you join in. The challenge went up today. There are two other DT projects to look at and more inspiration each week until month end.

Here is what you could win.

  1. Oh nice cards. I always forget about the resist technique, I should use it more as it always yields such nice results, as you've shown us here.
